Happy Anniversary, my lil moonbeam

I wanted to post this earlier, but as usual busy, busy, busy.....

On sunday it was the 2-year-collaring anniversary of my second boy Endy. Calling him "my lil moonbeam". Two years ago I bought him in RP at the docks of Hrimgar. It was a good decision, which I never regretted.

 

I'm lucky with my two boys. There are only a very few relationships like ours around SL. My boys mean so much more to me than just a Gorean roleplayed collaring. They are my friends, lovers, partners. We are family. They deal with my moods and deal with negligence, when I'm lost in building-spheres. :-)

 

We celebrated the day at sunday's Tabor OOC dance. River made a wonderful decoration. I took some pictures too... at least I thought so, but for some reason, the singularity viewer with which I struggle atm after firestorm didn't save them on my harddisc. So, here's just one of my most favorite pictures with my lil moonbeam, which I took long time ago, even before I collared him.

no fun

First of all, even if a bit belated: HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Didn't post much (again!) these days, but SL is just not much fun at the moment. Since the xmas-season I got one technical issue after the other. Inventory not loading, friendslist not loading, groups not loading, crashing again and again in teleports etc. etc. etc.

First I thought it might just be because of the season... many people online, but it continued and continued. So I thought it might be the Phoenix-viewer, as "they" (LL, Firestorm-developers, the governments, whoever....) want to force us to the new viewers. So - although I already knew it would suck - I did a clean installation of Firestorm. And voila! Now the issues continue and I added just a few more to it.

Not to mention, that Firestorm per se already sucks! It expands your inventory with about 3.500 more items to load (well, at least it's fast in fetching the inventory after a cache-clearing, which is good, because I have to do it at least 5 times a day... compared to maybe every two weeks in Phoenix) , because you can't get rid of the Library (the bridge loads from the library, so it's always loaded) and of the most useless Calling Cards. Nothing is at it's place anymore; either hidden so well, that you are searching half an hour for it, or gone completely. The well visible blue pop-up notifications now are some tiny squares which make your top right corner useless for HUD-attachments, and make you click 3 times where in Phoenix you just had to click one time "OK". And it places a squad for every open IM, which is utterly useless as well. It's slow. Snapshots even in "high resolution" are crap. ... The list is endless.

However - the issues continue. Still crashing in TPs. Still friendslist and groups not loading. And some more issues like prims vanishing before my eyes ("Oh, another cache emptying.... Yay!") or the whole appearance (skin, shape, eyes, clothes....) not attachable... Well, the latter at least brings my lil moonbeam Endy some joy, as he likes to draw in Picard-like manner little smileys into the orange clouds, I am so often.

 

So, if anyone got any suggestions to solve at least the one or other problem, let me know. Either in comments or contact me inworld. I'm the third cloud from left.

Merry Xmas

So, we sent out our xmas-cards the last day(s) with the cute little pressies in it.... As it showed the "open me!" mouse, when you hovered over it, we assumed, that our friends will know what to do (O-tone me: "Oh, our friends are no noobs. They will know!").... ha! We had to tell 3/4 of our friends: "Open it! Copy into inventory! Follow the instructions!"

 

Inside they'd find our little snowglobe. Took me a while to build it so little, as SL is restricted in the minimum size. But I think, it's quite cute:

"Touché" - that's the name of the new gallery in our store. As mentioned before: We're doing some rebuilding at the store. So we moved the gallery with the (mostly Gorean themed) paintings up into a skybox. The building was quickly done... a bit Art Deco.... I know, I could do better with more time and more prims, but I did a lot with sculpts to save prims. And for 23 prims or so it's not a bad building at all, I think.

 

 

 

Sooooo, we thought about a name and finally agreed to "Touché" as it means as well "brush stroke" (in painting) as also "Touched", used in sword-fighting, when someone landed a hit on the opponent (you know... Goreans and their swords - duh!), but also means like "Good arguement!" in a debate as well as a kind of "counterattack"- as I like to see it as counter to some greedy guts...

 

 

For now it's mostly Gorean-themed paintings, but sooner or later I'll add some others too, especially in the second floor (which for the moment is mostly empty)

 

 

I also started to experiment with animated pictures. The dancing Santa and his reindeer, the bouncing cat and the buttnaked Santa are some of the first results. We offer them as freebies (copy, but no trans), so if you want them, come to the shop and buy them for zero! And tell your friends about it!

Next thing will be a reconstruction of the shop itself on the ground. Still lots of work upcoming....
